Maj Sandeep Unnikrishnan was an officer in the Indian Army serving in the elite SpecialAction Group of the National Security Guards. He was martyred in action during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.

On the eveningof 31 Dec 1999, Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan led a team of six soldiers and managed to est a post 200 mtrs from the opposing side against hy opposition and fire.
